Bunning Tries to Shut Down the Federal Reserve

Senator Jim Bunning, a Republican from Kentucky, tries to shut down the Federal Reserve with the following bill that will no doubt go absolutely nowhere:

S.3510 : A bill to prohibit the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System from making funds available at a discount rate to private individuals, partnerships, and corporations.

Latest Major Action: 9/17/2008 - Referred to Senate committee.

Status: Read twice and referred to the Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs.

Bunning is retarded.

Only a fool who doesn't understand the purpose of a central bank would propose such a bill.

Tell Bunning to look up what "lender of last resort" means. (Bye the way, we're there ...)

Jay, obviously you don't understand what the Federal Reserve is--a private bank. We would of course have a central GOVERNMENT bank, like we're supposed to, and we would get rid of our national debt immediately(because every penny of debt is paid to the FR as interest for printing money) Do some research, and maybe you'll see how our freedom has been pulled out from under us.
